Now open at the British Library, Unearthed: The Power of Gardening is a major new exhibition celebrating the remarkable people and plants who have shaped our gardens today.

From beautiful botanical illustrations to guerrilla gardening zines, ancient manuscripts to contemporary artworks, Unearthed reveals how gardeners have cultivated more than just plants – they've sown the seeds of change.

Hot Air Balloons Over London

The Lord Mayor’s Hot Air Balloon Regatta® first launched in 2015 and was intended to be an annual event, but it’s actually only happened four times - with covid and then bad weather scuppering plans over the last few years.

If the weather holds up, a fleet of up to 50 colourful balloons will take to the skies at 5.30am from Battersea Park. You should be able to see the whole parade of balloons floating peacefully above iconic London landmarks Buckingham Palace and the London Eye to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge later on Sunday morning.

Dulwich Festival

This celebration of art and culture gets underway in Dulwich on Friday, offering a packed 10-day lineup of music, dance, literature, art, walks, talks and fairs.
