Lady Mayor’s Show

This huge free show and parade takes place in the capital every year, but this will be the first time in over 800 years that it will be officially known as the “Lady Mayor’s Show”. Dame Susan Langley DBE will be appointed as “Lady Mayor of London”, and to celebrate, there will be an enormous parade featuring marching bands, 7,000+ people, 250 horses and over 50 decorated floats.

Being Human is the UK’s national festival of the humanities, with workshops, talks and exhibitions happening all over the UK. Here in London, there are 50 events lined up, and the majority are completely free. This year’s theme is “Between The Lines” - hidden histories, shifting borders, and unspoken meanings.
