The annual Streatham Kite day

Enjoy a Sunday of food, drink…. and kites! You can expect performances from kite pros, see a 30m long whale kite and bring your own along to join in the fun. As well as food trucks and coffee stands, there’ll be plenty of space for picnics making it a wholesome day out.

Afternoon Poems at Keats House

Head over to Keat’s house in Hampstead Heath to enjoy some poems from the days of yore. Discover funny, tragic and sympathetic famous poetry from fields, kitchens and factories!

London during WWII family walk

Walk through the streets of London to explore the impact of the Second World War on the lives of ordinary Londoners. How did the war affect children? Women? Food? See the marks that the war has left on the city, and the stories that they tell.

The only slot that is still available is at 10:30am on Saturday so make sure to book your spot before they sell out!

Between the bridges

It’s popping off at London’s biggest beer garden, Between the Bridges. They’ve got, performances, brunches and club nights (at reasonable hours I might add). They also run a craft market every Sunday offering up art, jewellery, fashion, kids’ products, and more from some of London’s best independent designers.

Barbara Kruger art exhibition

If you’re feeling artsy this weekend, head over to the Spruth Magers gallery, where for one week you can see the work of Barbara Kruger. Active in the art scene for over 40 years, Kruger’s work explores the power of image and word and touches on the dynamics of control, class, corruption and consumerism with giant words.
