Angel’s annual Canal Festival is back with a boatload of activities including a regatta, boat rides, live music, Pearly Kings and Queens (I had to google what this is and I’m glad I did), and Morris dancing. While you’re there, why not try your hand at juggling, canoeing or pottery - or browse the craft and tasty food stalls on offer!

Dive into the sordid history of one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. Participants can expect to uncover the juicy stories and hidden secrets of the area, exploring tales of intrigue, scandal, and mystery that have shaped its history, like the member of the House of Lords who was friends with the Krays, and the pub where the Great Train Robbery was planned. You’ll never see Belgravia in the same way again.

Maybe an unlikely spot for a weekend activity but the historic, Grade One listed, Brompton Cemetery is hosting an open day this Sunday, inviting the public to explore its beautiful grounds and buildings. There will be an array of guided tours running throughout the day to show visitors the natural beauties on site, highlight the meaning of symbols found across the cemetery and even explore the catacombs! Aside from tours, there will be a bunch of workshops and attractions from birds of prey to pedicab rides and craft stalls selling everything from flower jewellery to aromatherapy.
