Mudlarking Exhibition @ Watermen’s Hall

Mudlarking is a particularly quirky London pastime - it’s the joy of scouring the banks of the Thames in search of treasure. This exhibition will feature the personal collections of 15 different mudlarks each day, sharing the backstories of their artefacts and how they were discovered. This could be coins, pottery, trinkets and even bones, reaching as far back as Roman times. Who knows what could wash up!

From The Ashes Exhibition @ The Truman Brewery

Indigenous communities in the Amazon have been profoundly affected by deforestation and climate change. Migrate Art is shedding light on this issue with their exhibition, From the Ashes. Artists’s kits with paint, ink, pigment and pastels were created from ashes collected from burnt areas of the Amazon rainforest and used to create works of art. These works will be auctioned off in March, with the funds raised from their finished products being donated to the Xingu community as they continue to fight against illegal deforestation, and to assist them in reforesting the Xingu territory.
